Sexy singer Chae Yeon revealed today on Mnet show “Beatle’s Code” that her 2008 photo album sold a record amount of copies.

She stated during the interview, “Though there probably hasn’t been anyone to break my record… in reality, I haven’t made that much money from it.” She also added, “People think I made a lot of money from photo album sales, but that’s not true. When my photo album came out, most of the other albums featured nude pictures so I though mine wouldn’t be that popular. I didn’t think anyone would want an album of me clothed so I wasn’t expecting much and I didn’t make an agreement for royalties.”

Despite her doubts, Chae Yeon revealed that the photo album went on to sell a million copies. Understandably, she was a bit disappointed that she had settled for a one-time payment.

DJ Doc also appeared on the show sharing a similar experience. “After our debut, our popularity rose and we made a good amount of money, but there were many costs as well so we suffered a lot. It was so bad that during promotions for our 6th album, we only had two outfits for our single ‘I Wanna’. Performing on four music programs with only two outfits was difficult so we ended up stopping our appearances.”

On the August 7th’s airing of KBS 2TV Star Golden Bell, SHINee member Key, and the recently returned sexy queen Chae Yeon, both made an appearances as this week’s special guests.

Chae Yeon was partnered with Super Junior’s Shindong, whereas Key was coupled with his fellow group-mate Jonghyun. Sexy singer ChaeYeon reveals that she has been mistaken for Lee Hyori in the past before.

ChaeYeon and her parents appeared on MBC ‘Happy Day’ aired on 11th February where ChaeYeon talks about herself and what she has been up to recently, and thelove house which she had bought as a present for her parents was also revealed.

In the house, the interior was decorated with ChaeYeon’s photos. Of one of the photos was a picture drawn by a fan. And in the picture, the fan wrote, “You look a little like Lee Hyori.” ChaeYeon added, “I have heard of these words before.”

Mnet’s M! Countdown is coming back! 110210

All you Mnet M! Countdown fans, rejoice!

The show that seemed to disappear off the face of the earth last November is finally coming back this February 18th. Moreover, Mnet announced that they have completely changed their chart ranking system. Normally M! Countdown counts album sales, but in this new system, the higher score between the album sales and the song sales will be chosen.

Also, M! Countdown will no longer choose a first place winner between the top two songs. Instead, the first place winner will ben chosen among the top ten songs based on weekly sales and online digital sales.

CP Kim Ki Woong who is in charge of the show stated, “Because this data will be used later for MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) decisions, we will focus on being accurate and fair.”

Additionally, M! Countdown plans to hold special stages every episode in order to make the show “global.” CP Kim expressed, “Last year M! Countdown was aired in 9 different regions of Asia including Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, and Singapore Asia. This year we plan to include America, Cambodia, and the Philippines to the list and promise to have ‘trendy’ stage performances that emphasize how global this show is.”

In the recent episode of QTV "Female Ranking", Chae Yeon reveals her daily habbit once she reaches the inside of her apartment. "After I enter my apartment and close the door, I would start to take off my clothes and just put them anywhere I can reach at the time."

Chae Yeon says "I hate bringing clothes that I've worn for the day into the house. Even if I have family over, I still do the same no matter what." This caused shock to the other guests.

During the episode, Chae Yeon hears that in the eyes of males, she is ranked in the top half which causes her to feel very happy about this. Also, Chae Yeon says "I have quite alot of stage performance outfits. If everyone stays for a night at my place, wearing the outfits would be enough to make it a formal event." After she said this, it caused much laughter.

Popular girl group members, Narsha (Brown Eyed Girls), Sooyoung (SNSD), Nicole (Kara) and Hyuna (4minute) will be joining in on the pilot episode of SBS' new program "Oh! Brothers."

Oh! Brothers is a replacement of the popular game concept show Xman, which has been off air for nearly 3 years. Oh! Brothers will be hosted by Kim Gook Jin and is already garnering lots of interest, because everyone misses Xman and the four beautiful ladies mentioned above doesn't hurt either.

Korean sexy singer, Chae Yeon will be holding her very first solo concert in China very soon. Currently, preparing very hard for the concert and having a heavy work schedule, it is said that Chae Yeon is losing three kilograms in three days.

So, the MAMA awards was held last night, unfortunately Yeonie did not win the Best Solo Female Artist. But, it's alright! I'm sure we all know that she is a great performer! But, here were the final results for the votes on the MAMA voting system. And, I'm quite pleased with them overall! Especially with the "Artist of the Year" category where she came in 6th overall where she was mostly competing against Idol groups.

During the show, Chae Yeon made the other female guests jealous by revealing that 6 male celebrities have shown interest in her at the same time.

Chae Yeon stated, "At one point, there were 6 male celebrities that showed interest in me and I talked with all of them for awhile, but in the end, none of them proposed to me."

She also revealed that she was put in an awkward situation after one of her concerts in Japan. She had gone out to dinner with a group of people she worked with and the during the dinner, a Japanese male celebrity she was sitting next to grabbed her hand underneath the table. However, while still in the state of shock, another male celebrity on the other side of her then grabbed her other hand underneath the table as well.

Yeon: Hello everyone, I am Chae Yeon! Nice to meet everyone! *waves*

(We would like to congratulate you for your first solo concert in China next month! What are you anticipating?)
Yeon: Firstly, I'm most anticipating to see how many fans will be coming to watch the concert? So, I'm a little bit nervous. And the other thing is what will fans think of my performance.

(Fans want to know if you are preparing anything specially for the concert? You are defintely going to sing some Chinese songs, can you reveal any other preparations?)
Yeon: Due to my Chinese not being very fluent and I'm not able to communicate properly with fans, I feel very regretful. In the concert, I will be performing many songs which I have not performed in Korea as a gift to China fans.

(What is your current level of Chinese fluency?)
Yeon: Ah, I haven't been learning chinese through private tutoring, I've been learning through breaks during functions. But, Chinese is too hard, I feel that I haven't been making a big improvement.

(What is the most difficult thing about learning Chinese?)
Yeon: I think it's the pronounciation, Korean isn't the same as Chinese which has four different tones. So, when I use one tone to say something in Chinese, Chinese friends don't understand what I'm saying.

(Earlier at the press conference, it was revealed that you will be releasing a second Chinese album. Can you introduce the album to us?)
Yeon: Recording has already finish, there will be two new chinese songs. Even though, my chinese pronounciation is quite alright at times, but I still has to record several times. Before, I participate in "Just the Two of Us" program, there was one week where I had to memorise three Chinese songs which has helped make the recording successful.
